In order to preserved the best qulity out of each raw material, timing on each individual tanning process is very important and percise as even one tiny bit of mistake could lead to a major problem with quality on the whole tanning drum in one whole batch. Our finished skins are developed only from the raw hide (wet salted - dried condition depending on each type of skins), hand picked and carefully selected only the best quality for leather industries from our reliable contracted fisherman which we have locally in the south of Thailand and around the around the Arsean continents. The rich colours and softness, finishing of each order can be adjusted according to our customers specifications.
Our tanning method
Our normal tanning is done with Aldehyde, Aldehyde tanned leather is the method that most tanners refer to as ‘wet-white’ leather due to its pale cream or even white colour. It is mainly used in situations where ‘chrome-free’ leather is required, like in the manufacture of baby shoes and in some automobiles that prefer to have chrome-free seating. Sometimes, the aldehyde chemicals are combined with emulsified oils to produce exceptionally soft leathers which are notable for their ability to be washed. Chamois leather also falls into the category of aldehyde tanning and is a highly water absorbent leather. It is made by using oils (traditionally cod oil) that oxidise easily to produce the aldehydes that tan the leather.
Hence there’s no chrome in our tanning technique because normally chrome tanning will result with softer skin, better color penetration but the crust skins on chrome tanning result are green and they are more difficult in dyeing process for lighter color. That is the reason why chrome tanning is not an option even though they’re in better stage than white crust when keeping them on the shelve for long time because skins would not turn stiffer and yellowish whereas the aldehyde technique could result in an abosolute oppersite way when white crust are being kept for long time, but with this stage it proivde us more freedom to be creative with color and finishing on rawmaterial.
